Cortic-DS 1% Ointment 30g (Hydrocortisone) (Generic for Sigmacort)

Hydrocortisone has topical anti-inflammatory activity of value in the treatment of irritant dermatitis, contact allergic dermatitis, insect bite reactions and mild to moderate eczema. It is used to relieve the redness, swelling, itching and other discomforts of the skin.

Apply a thin layer to affected area two to four times per day or as directed for a maximum period of one week. Gradually increase the intervals between applications as the condition improves. Treatment may then be reduced to two to three times a week or when symptoms recur. Gentle massage assists penetration. If the condition has not improved, or worsens, consult your doctor.

This product should not be recommended for use on children under 10 years of age without medical supervision.
